Little Bears

Little Bears room is here to care for those who are two years old, working with the challenges of how to share, toilet training and learning emotions.

Little Bears fill their days with a range of experiences which can include chopping vegetables, exploring the paint, risky play in the garden and acting out real life experiences with the role play.

Children are supported when making their own choices such as when to have snack and doing simple daily tasks for themselves, accessing their own belongings and using their own knowledge and skills when carrying out tasks. Independence is something that we are keen to promote during their time here in Little Bears.

The staff team encourage child led play and are here to support and engage with each and every child. We understand that each child is different and on their own journey, It’s important to us that we build a relationship with the child and their family during their time with us.

Children are given the opportunity to create their own images using what’s offered within the room.

Real life experiences are provided within the environment such as chopping fruit and vegetables, this encourages cutlery skills and also provides the opportunity to explore healthy eating

Resources are provided throughout the environment to build on the children’s areas of development in a relaxed and child led way.
